The Hairy Elephant is focused on making your child's hair cut a happy experience from start to finish. We've created a fun environment at both our Ballwin and O'Fallon MO locations. First, your child gets a free shampoo. Then they can choose to sit in a jeep, sports car or even an airplane to watch a movie or play a video game while a friendly stylist gives him or her a quality hair cut. Our staff members are trained specifically on boys and girls hair cuts and the best products for children. We also offer bang trims, special occasion styles, manicures and pedicures as well as spa packages that combine all of the above!

The Hairy Elephant is also a great place to celebrate a birthday or any special occasion. Your child and guests will be treated to a special hair style, glittery nail polish and make-up application. We also provide paper goods, invitations, beverages, cookies, party favors and more.

Our hours at both locations are Monday - Thursday from 10 am - 8 pm, Friday from 10 am - 6 pm and Saturday from 9 am - 4 pm. Call our Ballwin salon at (636) 227-SNIP or our O'Fallon, MO salon at (636) 379-SNIP and make a reservation today!

My son loves to get his hair cut here. He's got the shaggy skater hair Debbie in West County cuts it perfectly. We are in out in no time.

Great Place!

This was the only place where my son would allow his hair to be cut -- he was terrified of the other places we tried. We took him there for a couple years until he calmed down enough that I can take him for haircuts closer to home. The only real downside to the Hairy Elephant was how far away it was from our house -- a long drive! And it was more expensive -- but worth it to not have a hysterical child in the process!

We started getting haircuts at the Hairy Elephant when my oldest was about 2. He got scared at a regular place and wouldn't go. But when he saw the cool chairs and the movies they watch... he was quickly at ease. Plus, the stylists understand how to handle the kids. My youngest has had trouble lately... being scared, crying etc. But the stylists were patient and willing to let me call the shots about how to get the job done through the screaming! The only problem is the stylists seem to rotate a lot. It is a little expensive, but definitely worth the money!
