Creation Station at the Museum of Transportation is a great place to take the kids for some indoor fun. The only draw back – the cost. We at PeaTot recently made a trip and found that it can be a bit pricey. First, you have to pay for admission to the Transportation Museum and an additional fee for Creation Station. Admission to the museum is $6 for adults and $4 for kids between the ages of 5 and 12. Children 4 and under are free. Admission to Creation Station is $1.50 for all ages.

The cost is not too bad if you plan on spending the whole day at the museum. But for just the Creation Station, it’s expensive because you only get an hour inside. They have three different morning boarding times Tuesday - Friday. During summer hours they are open on Mondays too.

Activities inside the station include a play kitchen, puzzles, toy trucks, tables for coloring and much more. Everything was well organized in separate areas throughout the room. There seemed to be plenty of creative activities for boys and girls, as well as different age groups. Here’s a link for more information and pictures of the room.

If you really like Creation Station, getting a membership to the museum may make sense. There are several levels of membership that include free admission to the museum and some free passes for Creation Station and train rides. Here’s a link for more information.
