My OBGYN...Carlos Maitz.......his wife just died of Lung cancer. I was wondering what to do............He's an amazing OBGYN and he always spoke so well of "My Judy". I feel like I knew her...she decorated the office with tropical prints.........Send a card.......make something and drop off in the office in a week or two?...............??? A bad day at the beach, is better than a good day at work. |

How sad, another had succumb to lung cancer. My dad passed away 4 years ago from lung cancer too. A card is great way to tell him how much you appreciated everything his wife did, and a small donation to the American Cancer Society or American Lung Association would be nice.
I am not sure if your doctor used hospice but a donation to them would be even better. The services they provide are amazing.
We had a lot of donations to our hospice, who helped my dad in the end stages. A beautiful organization with beautiful, special people that helped him ease from this world to the next. I am forever thankful to them.
The services they offered were FREE. FREE medication, Free visits by the nurse/nurses aide, housekeeper, (yes they offered a housekeeper who would come in weekly and dust vacuum and mop) Medication were delivered to the door of my dad's home. Without this service the last few weeks of my father's life would have been so much more difficult than it already was. We were so busy just taking care of him, that everything else was secondary, so everything they offered helped us so much. We couldn't have made it without them. |
